Festival organisers

The Cheshire Beer Festival is organised by a group of volunteers from Cheshire brances of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

A lot of hard work and effort goes into organising the festival, and the group put in a lot of effort behind the scenes to deliver a top class festival for you to enjoy.

And... it’s not just all about ordering a great range of ales and ciders!

Here is a quick summary of what goes on to make the festival successful:

  • Regular planning meetings - usually over  beer or two!
  • Approaching potential sponsors
  • Attending CAMRA courses
  • Transporting equipment
  • Assembling the bar
  • Racking, resting and venting the ales
  • Ensuring the ales are cold enough.
  • Health and safety
  • Organising the entertainment
  • Liaising with the venue
  • Marketing
  • Distributing posters, flyers and beer mats around the area
  • Working with the festival charity
  • Preparing (and sticking to) the budget
  • Making sure everything goes to plan when the festval is open.
  • Staffing at the festival itself
  • Clearing up, and taking all the setup back down
  • and much, much more!

We are always looking for new faces to help out from the members of the Cheshire CAMRA branches.

So, if you have been to a festival and you think you’d like to give something back - get in touch with us and find out how!
