Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a selection of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Cheshire Beer Festival.

If there is something you want to know, which is not listed below, use our contact form to ask us!

Q: Where are my tickets?

If you have paid for your tickets online - we do not send out tickets, simply bring along your PayPal receipt - this is your ticket!

Q: How do I buy beer and cider?

We use a voucher system. Cash is used to buy vouchers, which are used at the beer and cider bars. Unused vouchers can be donated to charity as you leave.

Q: How can I choose beers and ciders to suit my taste?

Tasting notes are included in the festival programme you receive when you come into the festival. On top of this feel free to ask any volunteers at the festival who will be happy to offer advice.

Q: Can I join CAMRA at the festival?

You sure can! There is a CAMRA stall there offering you the chance to sign up, as well as a load of great stuff to buy - including some great books!

Q: Is there food available?

There is food available! The racecourse offers a dining menu in the Turf Restaurant to the left of the entrance. This is a cash counter.

Q: Where is the entrance to the festival?

The entrance to the festival is under the main stand close to the finish line of the racecourse.  Walk down New Crane Street and turn left at the main Car Park entrance.  Turn left again before the racecourse and you’ll find the entrance on your left.

Q: What happens if I have unused beer vouchers?

You can donate them to our festival charity, or you can get refunds on unused portions of vouchers.

Each year we support a charity with kind donations of part or wholly unused beer vouchers.

Q: How do I pay for beer vouchers / tickets on the door?

The beer festival is cash only. This includes buying beer vouchers, paying on the door (if we have space).

There is a cash machine at the Holiday Inn Express next to the racecourse.

But it's always best to grab cash before heading to the festival.

Q: Who organises the Cheshire Beer Festival?

The Cheshire Beer Festival is is organised by volunteers from the following Cheshire branches of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA):
